Vauxhall Cannabalism!

On the plus side, you can hardly tell it's a Corsa.

Maybe its the lads from the actory stealing bits back to build new cars? Cost containment - reuse the same panels and just keeping nicking them back...

Why just vauxhalls?

Why just vauxhalls?

loads of the things crashed weekly by young drivers?

Well that's the Limited Edition corsa explained....

Was a spate of fords getting targeted a while back iirc twoc'ing bar stewards!

Maybe the front ends are seriously easy to remove?

Wow, that is quite some effort / risk to steal bolts. Are they particularly rare / expensive on Defenders?

cORSAS- some road safety group PREVINT accidents, BEFORE they happen. Same thing for Rqange Rovers and Fiestas.

Around here sharan/alhambra/galaxy exhaust theft is high. Specifically the cats? Dad had his nicked :( mechanic offered to do some crazy welding below to make it a PITA to remove the newly fitted one.

Gone are the days to find your car up-on-bricks with the wheels gone..sigh....so much for alarm deterrents, people just ignore them an all too familiar sound of one going off..

Thats easy explained - high demand for new cats on the school run buses due to mummy being too busy on the phone to change gears properly either over revving or labouring engines dumping excess fuel into the exhaust system which burns out the cat and.. the engines and cats never getting up to temp properly as they only live a mile from school...

surely they're getting nicked to weigh in had work vehicles done a couple of times fitted catlocks to them now

maybe they are but there is also the dodgy second hand market - esp if theres a spate of a particular vehicle getting done in an area.. why not just work along a line of parked up cars instead of targetting a particular vehicle? Maybe its is just they are able ro get them off quick?

A couple of yrs back about 20 of our managers had their shiny 2011 focuses (foci?) Stolen from. Cars locked before and after but stuff missing from inside.. turned out there were plentt private owned foci of the same age getting done at the same time. Someone obviously figured out a way around the alarm system.

The good thing is if anyone has a limited edition Corsa they will be fine as no one will ever find one in the UK :) surprised it's normal Vauxhalls anyway id expect VXR's as people may want the engines.

Many years ago my brother had a red Ford XR2.

It had it's wheels and interior trim stolen, then while it was in the Ford garage for repairs, it was reduced to a bare shell over night.

It was then written off by the insurers.

My brother solved the problem by buying a Fiat Punto.....
