Karl's Fabia vRS - Sunday Shine

Featured Replies

No the A pillars in this case up the side of the windscreen (top row of pictures on the right), although I guess the same technique can be used on the B pillars too?

Thanks ..Its a Monte Carlo isn't it?...Doh!....my....

The B pillars are likely to be black plastic, you must check..They could be stickers

.........if plastic, then a light polish on a 3" padย on the Rotary with remove all scratches...Your pad will turn black though..LOL

Sat in the bar, in Cyprus, missing the car at the moment.

I hope no birds have done the dirty on it. Friday is usually wash day too!

Enjoy your jollies, got back to mine today & it's covered in all sorts of crap after being stood for 17 days. Job for Sunday me thinks. If you've not had one try a brandy sour, very refreshing & you don't need to like brandy to enjoy it.

Car looks fabulous. ย I noticed 2 rubber floor tiles next to the car, part of the detailing kit? For kneeling down? ย Good idea!

Saves your knees Neil/Neel...Sorry couldn't resist!

I use mine under the Trolley Jack....Saves my Drive from damage

That looks brilliant. Credit to the owner and helper! Makes me jealous. My race blue one is looking tired now. It wasnt looked after by previous owner. They kept the local scratch wash in business i think. But I'll just have to make do with it as i don't trust myself to use a polisher and they are out of my range anyway.

The green looks stunning in the light :)

My drive is concrete and pretty fubared already. ย I've got a couple of bits of carpet I use when under the car,or 'Neiling' by itย  :notme: ย but the rubber tiles look better for that, might grab some.

They're great Neil. Stephen bought them over incase we needed them, I'm always kneeling on the concrete cleaning the wheels etc. Wonder why my legs are knackered at 24 years of age haha.

Thanks Shaun, last day here now. Gutted to be leaving but can't wait to get back to wash the car and give it some stick over the moors!!

Thanks mate. Really appreciate the positive comments! I nearly opted for the race blue. Saw this with 13000 miles on at 3 years old. Couldn't resist it!

How's the car coming along Karl - you got the new plates fitted yet?

New plates are fitted. Getting some new screws this weekend though as not happy with the ones that are on. Going to get the security ones I think.

Headlight bulbs, and some nice LEDS would finish the outside. Other than a wheel refurb the cars pretty much mint now!

Nice one mate.

ย

Happy to help out on the LED's and colour matching etc.

I have an old set I took out the R36 recently - so a few options to try.

ย

Wheel refurb..... not cheap - but The Wheel Specialist Leeds.

Ask for Brian and ask for forum discount too ;)

I'll have to pop and see you when we both have an hour spare to sort the LED's.

Yeah abit of saving up I think to be done before the refurb! All money money money these days haha!

Spotted your car on Friday about 5.30pmย mate - gave you a wave, whilst we were at the Malt Shovel!

ย

The car is looking really nice - as always.

I caught you out the corner of my eye sipping on a nice cold beverage! Jealous much as I was still working!

Thanks mate, does need a wash at the moment. 75 mile round trip in the rain yesterday and a few motorway miles, looking a tad shabby.

A good wash and wax top up will have it looking sweet again!
