RHD New Octavia RS spotted in CZ

Featured Replies

I like the look of the blue vRS estate in the pics, suits the car really well, the black magic will be the dogs on it too, will make the alloys and green calipers stand out better.

Great set of piccies thanks!

Still need to see one in the flesh before I can finally make my mind up whether I like it as much as my Octy 1 vRS!!

Your welcome, Im not conviced either and Ive seen a lot in the flesh - some angles I like others I dont, cant get my head round the side look of the new octavia - But I bet its a good drive! - interior looks hard wearing and well put together. Seeing a lot of new octavias driving around cz the old octavia does start to look bit dated on the eye

wonderful pics thanx

The closest rival in price' date=' the Ford Focus ST is already in our local Ford dealership in 3 door electric orange trim. they're not allowed to reveal it to the public until next month but I've booked a sneaky peak tomorrow......

The boot is too small though [/quote']

I can't believe it, we in Ireland get a Public Viewing of this before the UK wtf  I was in Airside Motor Park in the Ford garage at the weekend (and before any slagging, SWMBO is getting a Fiesta, and NO I can't get her into a Furby :( ) anyway they had an Orange Focus ST and a Res Fiesta ST. The Focus was around 37k Euros if my memory serves me correctly.

Thanks for the shots John...estate looking good to me...needs to be seen in the flesh and of course taken around Wales for a fair assesment.

I want one :weeping: but can't afford.

Better do lotto tomorrow

Saw and sat in the ST on Sunday, at the Birmingham MPH show. Wasn't that impressed TBH, and I had a MY2000 Focus before the Fabia.

Typical cheap looking Ford switchgear and that orange paintwork looks worse than it does in photos - well to me anyway :thumbdwn:. Didn't like the std ST alloys either. Good figure-hugging seats, however.

See what you think when you get a look...

Steve

Good pics John, I think you covered all angles :thumbup:

Excellent pics John!

Agree with Manny on the looks. Don't like the front, but can dig the back. Side is so-so. Estate is probably the better looking one of the two.

Went to see the ST. The orange paint is Disgusting IMO and really not worth the

Great pics.Thanks.

Black estate for me please Santa

The vRS looks like an A4 from the front (without the new dopey Audi grille of course). You don't even have to squint to see it. Not sure i'd like my Skoda to look so like an Audi. The vRS should have its own identity.

My mate spotted my new motor outside his house. He got a side view an nearly choked as he thought i'd splashed out on an A4.

saloon looks good in black and the estate looks nice in silver... still not convinced by the front bumper, it just isnt agressive enough. compare the new RS to the s-line A4 and the Audi is much more agressive looking.

nice to compare the current and new models side by side as well and i agree the mk1 vRS looks much sportier, it makes the new one look like a bit of a fat boy imo

I don't know why everyone raves about the front bumper on the old vRS.It is not exciting or that aggressive.

Look at the red new one and the yellow old one.It would only take a strip of red plastic across the bottom part.Fogs look far better below as opposed to integrated as well.

The only 'aggressive' front bumper is on the fabia vRS IMHO :)

Looks fantastic. The new vRS badge looks good too!! I want one (The badge that is)

Well I dont like the shape of the new octavia and have to say that I like the look of the new VRS even less.

Fornt end looks like a bubble and the rear is even more overweight than the old one (and that had a big *** by anyones standards!)

Would even make my top ten of cars I'd buy (even if I wasn't after a roadster!)

That said the inside looks much better.

In the flesh the badges look cheap and nasty IMHO not so well made as the previous, on both demo cars I saw some of the red/green paint had already flaked off in places (see rear badge on blue estate in picture 16). The shape of the new Vrs badges suits the shape of the new model.

Thanks for the pics, did i spy indicators in the wing mirrors? why can't we have that on the furby

I think they all looked great, not that sure on the alloys but overall, gorgeous  . i love the chunky back end of the saloon and the estate looks great in blue but i think the silver won me over. Diesel option next year could be on HWMBO's wish list, depends how much it is though.

HWMBO

Nice to see some women still know their place :D

Actually it's all part of my plan, lure's him into a false sense of security and then...... :moon: :whip: if he's lucky ;):D

yeah i kind of agree mate' date=' i loved the mk1 vRS as it had little changed but the front bumper made the look of the car. having not seen the new one in the metal ill reserve full judgement :) i do kinda like it tho, im an octy fan at heart ;)

heres a pic of an A4 s-line(yes it is mine and no to certain members or member im not trying to show off my own car just showing it for the comparison that Nigel made, so if anyone wants to attack me this time my PM box is waiting :finger: )

At the end of the day it is subtle.I can live with that and in theory without the vRS badges if necessary(though I do like them :( ).

It looks like a smart 4 door big booted hatch with nice wheels, nice interior and a rather nice 200 bhp under the bonnet.

Those that want a lairy orange car (admittedly a nice car) there is one out there.Personally I think the vRS will do well
