Picked up my iV SEL yesterday, so far so good and managed to get a charge in as well.  Really impressed how seamless the switch from electric to engine is

  • Picked car up yesterday. I am sure colour will be Marmite, some will love some will hate. Personally I am over the moon and love it. So pleased I changed the wheels to also be black.     Car is:

  • Some more pictures of my Dragon Green Superb Estate. Taken by KDS after detailing.

  • 2 weeks into ownership very pleased, 220 DSG Petrol

Looks great. I've got an iV L and K on order. Dealer informs me it will be built mid August then 5-6 weeks to get to the dealer. Seems excessive! And it was ordered in February. What were the time scales for yours.

If you are asking me, I placed my order right befor corona lockdown, 10th of March I think. It was produced 5 June, and I got it 26 June.

My first delivery date, when I ordered, was late May, early June. So about one month later because of corona.

Best car I ever had. The only thing I’m missing from the Passat is the feeling of a car that wants to be driven. The superb is a more relaxed experience, I think even more with the hybrid. It’s really fast when you floor it, but you seldom do.

Got a wall charger installed today, so even faster charging is up ahead.

Thanks but was actually refering to alrobbo 's post.

You got yours pretty quick then. It was ordered after mine and mine won't even be built till August. Maybe something to do with it being an iV. I know there is also a hold up at Emden while a ship to Tyne port has a space.

I also will be moving from a Pasatt to the Superb. I'm all for relaxed with oomph if you need it.

Thanks, really pleased so far. My order went on around the end of Jan, original build was w/c 23rd March, but obviously delayed. On the Connect app, it says built 15th May, I think it was in the country around 10th June, took around 10 days for the paperwork to be sorted with Skoda (company lease) and picked up on the 1st, so around ~6 weeks from build to collection - fitting with your dealers estimates

I presume the build date was something you could only check after delivery. With my Pasatt I was able to track my order without pestering the dealer. Looks like I will get mine late September, 7 months after order went in. Looks like yours took 5 months.

Some small consolation I suppose. Would rather have the car for the summer though.

First ride after the correct rear Eibachs were installed. With them and the thicker Audi pads car retains the OEM 1cm difference between front and rear but is overall 25mm lower than stock. Yeah I like it a lot now.

Happy with my Superb now.

Wheel spacers, Rieger skirt, Scirocco R exhaust tips, R600 intake... And the giant red flappy paddles are hilarious, people look at them at traffic lights thinking “what a saddo” and then BOOM I’m gone 😂

ah, i didn't realise ur from Oz too @elfensin 🙂
i'm based in the ACT.

i was about to get those same Taiwan sourced side-skirts too, but i had my eyes set on the Rieger side skirts.

how did u get urs so cheap though.  when i looked at those ones, the seller on ebay was asking close to $1k for it shipped to Oz.

i think the black lip in addition to ur side-skirts made it look even fatter.  good thing u removed it.

my Rieger ones make the car fat too, probably cause it protrudes outwards in the center bits, but i don't mind that.

Well, simply because I am a Chinese living in Melbourne. So I can access to the Chinese e-commerce website Taobao without any restric. 😋

Items listed on Taobao are always much cheaper than those on eBay, even they might be exactly the same thing. I was working for ebay & Paypal when I was in China several years ago. So I know how these things worked😋

Basically all my cosmetic items are purchased from China, all the performance related or safety related items are purchased locally, or from those reputed manufacturers in EU and US.

For our grand daughters 5th birthday, my mrs bought a skirt with multi coloured lights in it on ebay, ordered from China 4 weeks ago

Finally had enough room to spin my car around in the shared drive paint all 4 brake callipers in metallic Skoda Rallye Green and fit my Audi RS6 replica alloys 8.5J x 19 with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres.

Selling my 181 sportline here in Ireland, any recommendations on were to advertise it. Sick of low ball offers from dealers.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried Adverts.ie?

First very small mod.  Added a set of Heko wind deflectors.
