Yes that was my car. It is at KDS getting a coat of GTechniq Crystal Serum. It is a struggle being without it for a week.

Very nice!  If you're in the Fens why did you buy from Progress (Northampton?) and not Vindis in Cambs?  I'm expecting my Sportline hatch soon and actually bought from Vindis but my local dealer is Progress. :-)

I really like the contrast between the Corrida red and the black trim. Be interesting how you find the 190 engine in the Superb compared to the Golf GTD.

As promised, some more pics of my Superb in lava blue.  It is just really difficult to capture the true colour on here.  It moves between a light blue to a navy (evening/low light) to a blue with a hint of green running through it (sunlight).  The first photo below tries to show this green/blue combination on the different parts of the bonnet panel i.e. the middle is blue but the light shining on the left part of the bonnet brings the green through in sunlight.  I have the ventilated seats hence the seats are perforated which I think looks and feels nice but gives a slightly darker look on the base of the seats.

I have sunset glass BTW which is actually a bit darker than the sunset on my old MKII

Here are some more where the sun is catching the lighter blue shade.  There is a huge contrast between the first pic below and the last one above which is almost navy.

 

 

 

The lounge step mats weren't standard but I managed to get a set myself.

 

I know there is dirt on the lower part of the door here...

 

 

 

Black carpet and beige interior works fine IMO.  I bought a shorter 0.5m iPhone cable which is less bulky than the standard ones plus when you're not using it, you can tuck it into the ashtray area and close the cover.

 

 

I'm finding the black gloss on the interior surround (e.g. around gear lever area) very easy to mark.  You can see a large finger print mark to the left of the handbrake button.  The brush aluminium look is quite subtle and not at all tacky as I thought it might be.

I didn't see you today or wasn't paying attention maybe although I'm usually fairly on the ball spotting other Skodas! I assume it was around the Dunmore Road or ring road you saw me?

I'm paranoid about that car park and any car park for that matter with the amount of crap parking by people. Had a trolley pushed against the front of my old one just before Christmas. Ardkeen Stores is probably the worst and I only park in the wider end spaces there now!

One of the first Superbs on the road locally was actually a lava blue but its in ambition trim and with the same 18" wheels as I have. It was the first demo in Barretts. I took it out for a drive in late 2015 and I remember putting some up pics of it up on here at the time. It's still around the area now with 152 plates. Hopefully Skoda will keep the colour as I heard they were thinking of discontinuing it!

I think the Superbs will get very popular now and there will be a few Style and maybe even L&K trims around. A mini-meet would be good alright.

Definitely will grow in popularity, helped with the lukewarm if not negative reception so far on the facelifted Octavia. I remember seeing that post at the time, if not commentating on the fact it was a base spec car.

I saw in Corbetts when I collected mine last week, they have a Corrida Red 150 Sportsline Superb in the showroom, looks fantastic.

I've only seen one Sportline on the roads and it was a Corrida red hatch.  It looked awesome, as does yours.  Really like that. Enjoy!

I'm kind of equidistant from Vindis in Cambridge, Wings in Peterborough and Progress in Bedford.  It takes roughly the same time to get to each anyway.  I bought my first Superb from Progress Bedford and have been going back there ever since.  No other reason, really.

Great, we're pretty similar to you then as I'm right on the border of Cambs and East Northants.  We could be at any of those dealers within 45 mins but Vindis is around the corner from work so it was just out of convenience for test drives and any aftersales support.

Drives me insane the black trim! Fingerprints all the time. 

 

May need to invest in some white gloves to drive in!

Yes fastest in standard trim but suspect the Sportline goes faster still.
