Forge FMIC custom install

Featured Replies

Hi

Just thought I'd share a few pictures with you all. Nearly finished with my forge intercooler custom install. The cooler is roughly 800mm in length and the crash bar + other various sections of the car needed to be chopped to allow it to fit correctly.

I swapped to a BAM inlet from the TT to relocate the throttle body to the other side to make running the intercooler pipes a lot easier. post-132335-0-54239900-1440318803_thumb.jpgpost-132335-0-54239900-1440318803_thumb.jpgpost-132335-0-03005400-1440318623_thumb.jpgpost-132335-0-82591300-1440318644_thumb.jpgpost-132335-0-17430300-1440318664_thumb.jpgpost-132335-0-07852700-1440318691_thumb.jpgpost-132335-0-98786300-1440318709_thumb.jpgpost-132335-0-37266300-1440318740_thumb.jpgpost-132335-0-02090500-1440318765_thumb.jpgpost-132335-0-89957400-1440318782_thumb.jpg

Good effort... Is the standard inter cooler the small unit in pic 3 in front of the new one?

Yes that's the original cooler offered up for comparison.

Looks awsome, are you planning on changing the front bumper in anyway, like cutting out the front making the hole bigger?

Im planning this mod next, just looking at where to mount the intercooler itself, thinking of having it on show.

I've left it like this at the moment. I can't decide if I should put the grille and side vents back on ?post-132335-0-94493300-1440609712_thumb.jpg

I do like the idea of seeing it on show, which is what i was planning on mine but maybe mounting the intercooler sleightly pretruding out of the front a little more.

Interestingly looking at your pipe on the irgh hand side i have an airflow pipe there for my CAI so might have to re route that.
