Superb MKIII owners register

If you have the active lane guidance as well as DSG they combine to give Traffic Jam Assist, where the car will do the crawling for you (including stopping without you touching the brakes). Brilliant in my neck of the woods where the motorway run is followed by a crawl into the city centre.

Ok, so use one at a time is the recommendation?

Yes definitely only one at a time and try to avoid crawling with brake modulation.

All in all, you'll love the dsg. Super quick shifts.

Sadly I have to advise my retirement from Superb ownership and this list as my faithful company car has now been replaced, somewhat later than expected, by a shiny new Octavia.

4 years, 10 months and 1 week with negligible issues, if my company car budget had stretched enough I would have had another in a heartbeat....maybe in 3 years time I'll be back!

Below is the last photo of my Superb (I took a lot!), and first of the Octy...

how do you do that? is it possible to do that on a 66 plate L&K?

I guess so, you will need a whole new dashboard with the Virtual cockpit, computer unit and lots of programming = expensive adventure 😅

I’m sure I’ve seen a post on Facebook for a place around the Durham area that can supply and fit the virtual cockpit for about £900

lol, not wanting it that much!

Maybe it's time for a new L & K ;) it's cheaper to spec it as new.

My New Superb 1.5 TSi 150 DSG SEL Estate in Petrol blue. It’s the 2nd Superb I’ve had,  the previous one being an identical specification 2019 pre facelift Model in Candy White.

 I specified the following options-

LED Ambient interior light pack

Heated Steering wheel

I did also Specify The Beige leather instead of black and also Traffic sign recognition but the Factory misbuilt it and these were not fitted! I didn’t want to wait months for another built so I accepted the car as it was.

Does anyone know if the Traffic sign Recognition can be coded in with something like Carista or similar?...

@TB404 with the direction VW group is going, the next superb will have a stubby knob thing as gear lever.

The new Octavia already has it

Picked up my new to me Superb before Christmas, loving it so far though I was looking for an Octavia Vrs, the value with the Superb was too immense to ignore.

2016 2.0 TDI 190 manual L&K in black.

Heated/Cooled electrically adjusted Leather Seats

Heated rear seats

LED interior light pack

Park Assist + Camera

18" wheels

Dynamic Chassis Control

Heated Front Windscreen

Canton upgraded sound system

Foot thingy for the boot (cant remember the name but it's handy!)

Leather seats take a bit of getting used to as very slippy, especially for the dog's seat protector (from a Passat I had previously) so if anyone has a solution I'm all ears.

Mine welcomes me with SLOW SHY because it replaced a 360bhp Superb 272. Still the 150bhp diesel does what is says on the tin and best I got in the warmer weather when I picked it up in October was 78.5mpg but during the first 2,000 miles during winter it has still averaged more than 60mpg which is remarkable for such a spacious, comfortable and quiet cruiser which it excels at. Congrats on a sound and sensible if not exciting purchase.

Had a Mazda for nearly 10 years, after saving and reading tons of reviews, I knew i had to get a Skoda Octavia or Superb.  Ideally the Estate but a 2017 SE L Executive Hatch DSG became available nearby with 40000 miles on it.  2 or 3k cheaper than others on Autotrader etc.  Went up next day, and now I have it.  So far, I absolutely love it.

Only fault I can find is that there are no automatic wipers, and even though there is a boot button inside the car and on my keys, i wanted it to open and close using this button haha.

Will soon delete the chrome around the window trim and make it look more 'sportline'

but loving it and used this forum as a source of information plenty of times before pulling the trigger
