Tell her not to forget her passport then ;)

 Good one. :D

Although passports are a sore point. She was allowed out the UK to Denmark whilst on a 6 month VISA, but on her return 7 days later they retained her passport and she was effectively deported back to Canada within a fortnight of her return to the UK.... :grumpy: Typical really - spoke English, was an economic +++ to the country,,,

Has anyone confirmed prices and/or booked yet?

Not yet, waiting for confirmation as to who is definately going, don't want be the only one!. Would be much better if we all got the same crossing though, what about the 11:30am crossing from Portsmouth to Fishbourne?. We could all just turn up and pay on the day?.

Sounds fine to me, however the general concensus (sp) was that pre-booking was cheaper

I am trying to sort out some discounted accomodation for anyone who wants to travel from afar.

I'll keep you posted

I think to make a day of it we need a 9am or 10am ferry. I'd sooner book the £27.50 with the people I found. Either way I am a definite! Add your names if you're serious about going. :)

Dont Forget, you West Countryers. That ther is always the ferry from Lyminton (35 mins) to Yarmouth.

That way you start at one end of the Island and get to see it all by doing a circuit. Where are you gathering for Lunch beer etc.?

Are the locals invited?,,Why not try the Aviator Bar at Sandown Airport ---Airport?? well airstrip-- Good food plenty of parking beer is OK too.

Jason' date=' is the £27.50 per Car??[/quote']

Per car with up to 4 people in it.

I'm booking now after getting the go-ahead from my mate & Shis SWMBO they'd like to come too. Which boat time I'm not sure of - perhaps it would be better to have a meeting point / time on I.O.W rather than in Southampton?

I'm going to book a boat for around 9.30/10am. :D

Gonna go for the 9.30am leaving from S.hamp and the 21.35 leaving time from IOW. Might be a long day but it will be worth it I reckon.

Perhaps if you guys enjoy yourself you might come back for the Isle of Wight festival in June, weekend of friday 9th until the sunday. You have the option to camp aswell. It was brilliant last year, particularly Starsailor, REM and Travis.

Go on, just do it

Hmmm - do I or don't I?

I'd love to come! But really should be watching finances, and it is the first weekend after my birthday - quite likely the parents will want to do something - have to ask them tonight.

Sounds to me like it will be a smashing day.

C'mon peeps - who else is coming then?
