Ste's Wednesday Wax - Infinity Wax

Featured Replies

Hi All,

So - time for a quick midweek detail and time to clean up the the Exeo.... which didn't get any attention at the weekend.

A typical foam, rinse and wash routine, but to elaborate on detailed products used:-

- Foamed with AD foam lance using Meguiars Hyperwash Snow foam

- Wheels with Auto Finesse Revolutions and WoWo wheel mitt

- Rinse

- Wash with Dooka wash pad and DC Car Care Shampoo

- Rinse

- Foamed with diluted AD Top Gloss Curious foam lance mix (rinse/drying aid)

- Rinse

- Dry with Definitive Wax Concours drying towel

- Door shuts, exhausts and alloys, wipedown with Definitive QD Pro.

- Tyres with Definitive Wax Tyre Dressing

- Infinity Glow Wax applied with Auto Finesse Handi-Puck and Farecla 80mm wax pad; 10 minute cure - 2 panels at a time.

- Infinity Rapid Detail Spray (RDS) detailer applied with Ragmaster blue BOA; no buffing stage required.

Product: Infinity Wax Dark Glow

Website: http://www.infinitywax.com/shop/

Price: £19.99 for 200ml wax; £7.99 for 500ml Rapid Detail Spray

Discount Code: n/a

New company and products on the market. Not really in the mainstream I fear - but came to me via the WaxPack.

The wax itself smells nice and loaded on the applicator well - but was not quite as spreadable as some waxes tested recently.

Noticeably less oils and carriers on this wax.... so almost grabbing on the panels, which were very cool temps at around 7pm in the evening.

Very competitive pricing from what I have seen on the website - but limited exposure and reviews that I have seen.

I have probably reviewed too many recently on the same test car; but the overall finish was good and gloss levels exceptional - IMO.

Maybe not as much flake pop as recent test products; but certainly gave a very deep wet look to the black paintwork.

Anyway - the pictures below of the finished detail (late 8pm finish - light fading).....  thanks for looking

To add to these review's I thought I would start working on a scoring system - which may prove useful for some.

I will try and improve as we go along - but this is a start.... maybe out of 10 rather than 5 will give better granularity?

STE's SCORING:-

Price Point:-       4 out of 5 (Approx £20 for 200ml on wax; £8 for 500ml Detailing Spray)

Ease of Use:-     3 out of 5

Shine Results:-   3 out of 5

Durability:-          TBD-under review

Overall =     3 out of 5 (pending durability)

Thanks for the comment Karl.

I seem to have been spoilt a bit with really nice waxes recently.

This one just isn't blended quite as nice as recent samples.

Application was not enjoyable compared with say Fourthwax or KKD.

The results though - are quite good actually.

Thanks for the infomation on the wax Ste. Decent prices on their website, I guess you pay a bit more for ease of application etc, but if price is your main concern, then it doesn't seem like a bad shout!

Nice one for the feedback on the wax!

I have to agree on the KKD wax. With out doubt one of the easiest I've used this year!

Thanks Neil.

Infinity have been trying hard to break through on the forums this year;

but even on this WaxPack release - I didn't see many reviews - good or bad.

The RDS spray was nice and easy to use - i'll definitely use that now and again.

The wax sample - i'll pass on and let one of the guys try it out...

Totally agree on the KKD Seduction.

I'm patiently waiting for either a GB on this; or some sale or other over Xmas!

If or when I do see a price reduction - i'll be sure to post/share on the KKD review thread

A group buy would be good on that as it's fairly expensive. Worth it but still...

Just to make you guys aware - Infinity Wax, as reviewed in this thread - seem to be clearing some stock on their eBay shop.

A couple of buy it now options on there but every few days there is an auction listing starts at 99p....

thought it may be of interest...  as always - I have no link to this company - just sharing a potential bargain:-
