Hey guys!

A few hours ago I got my hands on my new (used :) ) Octavia!

Late 2014 model with Bolero Mib 1.

System info as follows:

Device part number: 5E0035819A

I would really appreciate if I could have those update links as well.

Thanks in advance guys!

@nkadovic As far as I am aware, 0490 is the latest update for the Amundsen MIB1. It's an old unit now, effectively obsolete as far as Skoda are concerned, I highly doubt there'll be any more firmware updates for it.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

Am I right in thinking the Amunsen MIB1 0490 update can also be applied to the Bolero MIB1? If so, can someone PM me a link to the 0490 firmware, please? :)

Thanks.

Hello guys. I recently bought my 2013 Octavia with MIB1 Amundsen. Is there any way I could do the firmware update myself without using the vcds? There are no updates available at the skoda update portal, which I found weird.

Part number: 5E0035874

Hardware: 039

Software: 0171

I only care about the firmware (software) itself as I do not really use the sat nav. Thank you.

You can install the update and use it without using VCDS or similar. The Amundsen will work exactly as it should do, the only thing is you'll have errors stored, won't turn on any dash lights or anything, but the errors will show on a scan because the car thinks it has the wrong software.

Would that apply to any hardware version?

Mine's:

5E0035874

Hardware: 038

Software: 0132

My wife took it in for the fancy service before Christmas, the one where they're actually supposed to update software, according to their website.

Thanks.
