70A cable would be more than enough for powering a Cat E microwave though... :D

A microwave oven that bitches about the food you cook in it!...."Not jacket spuds again!":D

Seriously Cat E micowave oven is equal to 850 watts......God I'm sad knowing that:rolleyes:

I was thinking of 750 watts...which would be a Cat D. Cat E would be pushing the 70A cable...

Sorry, haven't been in the kitchen for a while... ;)

All this talk of microwaves is pi55ing me off, as the one at home suddenly decided to catch fire at the weekend, due to it having a bloody hole in the shell inside, and it was setting fire to the lining.

I think it's technical status at the moment is f***ed, and its time to get that Argos catalogue out again. Worst thing is it was the best mike ever, 1300 watt, 1.2 cu.ft, could do a 2kg chicken in less than an hour. :(

We have a Panasonic combi microwave oven which is Cat E and 1000W. I don't think I have seen any microwavable foods which come with instructions for heating in a 1000W oven. And, as I have previously posted, if you microwave popcorn in a 1000W oven you need to have a working smoke detector and fire extinguisher at the ready.

I have to say it again - chicken + microwave = yuk :( - what's wrong with a proper oven?
