Help: Octavia with Amundsen, Problem with bluetooth and iPhone

Featured Replies

Hi

Just collected my new Octavia Estate SE-L 1.4 (in Race Blue) yesterday.  Very nice!

The dealer helped set up the car but we had problems with connecting my iPhone 6 via bluetooth.

The music function connected ok and started playing BUT the hands-free HFP would not connect.

The dealer also tried with his iPhone 5S and the service managers iPhone 6.  None would connect for hands-free.

I tried restarting my phone, still didn't work.

Dealer reset the Amundsen, still didn't work.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

Keith

My iPhones (5S now have a 6S+) I connect using the Mitsumi cable option for full connectivity. I tried the Bluetooth when I had a duff cable, very limited functionality and sound quality not as good.

FIXED my issue with pairing my iPhone to my new O3 Amundsen.

The solution was to temporarily disable the "Bluetooth audio" option in Setup.  Then pair the car and phone for hand free (HFP).  This succeeded for me.  Next re-enable the "Bluetooth audio" option.  Turn the phone bluetooth off then on again to make it re-connect.  And now both HFP and audio connected ok.

That's really bizarre as my iPhone 4S connected, full functionality, without issue. Recently upgraded to an iPhone 6 and this too connected with full functionality automatically. I have an MIB2 Amundsen. Glad you got sorted in the end. Only thing I haven't been able to get sorted is the ability to "read" text messages. Apparently that's not possible with iPhones.

Had similar problem had to let Amundsen to connect to my iPhone via Bluetooth in Settings app first time connecting my iPhone 5.

Treating my self with iPhone 6s for Christmas hope I have no problems. :)
