Keeping car clean

Featured Replies

What will many of you be doing to keep your car clean? Have any of you used the dealer paint protection that they offer for new cars; these are said to be very expensive for what they are and put on by unskilled car washers. I myself will be putting on a layer of Autoglym high definition wax. I will not be using car washes or supermarket washing with their grit filled buckets.

Have a look here to 'polish' up your skills!

Definitely don't trust dealer to apply their paint protection. Firstly it's a rip off and secondly it won't be applied properly.

For me, GTechniq will be used.

Take a look in the car section for other members techniques and product suggestions.

I 'lose' mine for a week next weekend when it goes in for its Crystal Serum application.

Eastern Europeans at Sainsburys!

I haven't cleaned a car myself for ten years or more!

GTech all the way for me, C2 on the paint (Soooo easy to use) and G1 on the glass.....well, as soon as I can get some decent weather to do it all anyway.

BTW...The guy over the road uses the local hand car wash....His car is covered in scratches, so a good call...Some people just aren't interested though

Tasty! Look forward to seeing the results.

Thinking of going C1 and EXO on mine when it comes.

I use the company in the link for all my products. If you access the site they actually have a section on how to care for a new vehicle. Just need the car and the weather to do it!

If you want to get really deep into the whole car cleaning and maintaining thing. Check out Detailing World, but be warned it can get expensive fast if you let it.

I'm a lover of Gtechniq myself.

Hi Chris.

Ye', I'm good thanks. Not much car cleaning being done where I am though unfortunately. The weather is either too cold, wet, windy or all three through the day or at the same time. :(

Got a few other people in the Gtechniq way and been showing a few others how to care for their car and adding some more to my list of regular 'therapy cleans'.
