VW Group Defeat Device removal: 'The Fix' March 2016. Anyone had it done or an appointment arranged

Featured Replies

Simply that.

A question that only requires a response if it is Yes.

Please give some detail if you want to.

?

Has VW, Skoda, Seat or Audi UK or a Dealership arranged an appointment for your vehicle to have the Fix.

Or has your vehicle already had it done.?

That is UK Briskoda Members or in any other World Region.

Maybe when you have it done you get a £5k cash compensation lump sum handed to you, but you have to sign a gagging order preventing you from ever discussing it?

Any members in Germany have an appointment for their car / van / pickup to go in,

or anyone even know of anyone anyplace, Australia and an Amarok?

Any Technicians yet had the Tuition / Instructions / TPI on carrying out the Fix.

Dealerships ready with additional Courtesy cars or prepared to have 'The Fix' done during normal Service Work

or other Warranty Work anytime soon?

According to Skoda Customer Service, VW Amarok uk vehicles have had 2:0 ltr software upgrade. A letter should be due soon for Skoda owners. What I have been unable to find is anything that shows any before / after comparison. How do we know if the fix is a good one?

Cannot believe what VW say any longer without real black and white data.

How do we know if the fix is a good one?

I will sound ironic, but that is question of trust in VW :)

So April now.  2016.

If it is correct that Increased Fuel Consumption with 'The Fix' for the 2.0TDI is stopping them from doing it, then VW should be saying this.

Just a press release,

'we have not a scooby how to get rid of the 'Defeat Device and not effect the cars performance and are working on it'.

Odd how they said it had no effect on vehicles in the first place other then the ones they have no idea how to fix in the US yet here we are in April

and nothing is happening.

?

Anyone know about 'The Fix that was starting in Australia with the VW Amarok,  did that begin?

Now press articles are quoting how many fixes have been done,

more models of 2.0 TDI been given approval for the Fix, VW doing Recalls etc.

?

So has anyone yet had 'The Fix', got an Appointment Arranged for having 'The Fix'.

Had a Dealership inform them when they can make an Appointment to get The Fix'. ?

I believe my brother is having is 2.0TDI Golf fixed shortly.. May be wrong, but seen several letters come through about making an appointment etc

Not heard anything yet but from other reports I believe it's the Passat which is causing problems.

I'll be selling it in the next few weeks anyway so probably will not get it done prior to sale.

Millions of Registered Keepers must have had letter or 2 by now, for millions of vehicles that VW Finance probably actually own.

Maybe VW owned vehicles are some of the tens of thousands already worked on, it is hard to figure it out by press releases and media articles.

By now if cars have been done in some countries there is someone that can say they had one 'Fixed'.

......................

Time that articles said 'Volkswagen Group which includes Audi, Skoda & Seat.'

Also as Board Members or other 'Sales Executives' mention 2.0 TDI, or 1.2 TDI there should be some mention on 1.6 TDI.

They are are still spinning and trying to keep the headlines, or lack of headline to VW.

Off topic by a good bit here but.....Which fat bike is that in your pic Goneoffski? Tried to PM you but says you cant accept them! Drop me a PM if you can.

Last I saw was it would start Q3 with software updates, and Q4/Q1 for hardware + software updates

That was what was in my last letter from VW.

So we have to wait until late this year or early next for our affected engine. Assuming it hasn't been traded in by then
