So I ordered SmartLink on my new still sitting at the port vRS but like a numpty didn't read all the blurb properly and forgot to order SmartGate, so I can use the Skoda apps I've already downloaded onto my phone. D'oh.

 

Does anyone know if SmartGate can be retro-fitted?

I know others in here has retrofitted smartgate. I think its quite easy to do.

If you Google it, its an interface box which can be bought for about £150 for retrofit.

I wouldn't bother I have both. Smartlink is the one you want. Smartgate is nothing more than a novelty. (it can be retrofitted though, other members have done so)

Yeah I've never seen the point of smartgate, unless maybe you do track days.

I wouldn't bother with 'gate. I have it, and have never used it. Probably never will. I think mine came bundled together.

Mine got added post delivery....and like others I don't use it.
