Satnav / head unit updates

I have a RNS315 in my car, its just a VW Branded Amundsen+,

I bought last year the V6 Sd card online for £67 as V7 was 145, mine like yours has the bluetooth built inside and is easily enabled with VCDS which takes about 30seconds to do, (i can always do this for you if your ever in the midlands) putting the proper microphone loom is the bit that will take the longest, as it sits in the light fixture in the roofcard so has to be routed down the A-Pillar and behind the glove box. (well thats how i have mine)

As for Firmware i was told they dont really update these units as there are so many versions or revisions of the same unit and they all tend to have different firmware versions on them to accommodate this.
