Disappointed

Featured Replies

I went to have a look at a VRS Fabia at the weekend, sadly my interest was halted straight awayas I couldn't fit in the thing. I'm six two and couldn't get the sead back far enough to get comfortable.............anyone else has this problem?

  • I'm 7ft 2'', and had to have help from the dealer to get comfortable.

  • I am 3 ft and have no problem driving the fabia. I have to wear big wooden blocks on my feet and a nice cushion under my backside

If you can find one the Octavia tdi pd 130 has the same engine and more space/comfort and the same insurance group :D ....not so nippy...but not bad....tavia has one that goes very well on the track :D

Have you considered the Focus C-MAX ? They're very spacious and the cdti engine means they have very similar performance to the Fabia - the handling is pretty well sorted too.

Yeah, to get best for tall people is crank down the lever to the lowest setting. I'm only 6' 1" but have loads of headroom clearance and with the seat on lowest, its nowhere near being pushed right back for me to feel comfortable. :)

Might be worth checking what setting the seat was on height-wise first.

I'm 6'2" and knocking on 20 stone and i have never had a problem. and my brother of 6'6" has never bothered either.

What i did notice on the test drive i took is that the seat was adjusted to full height, when it is it also moves forward, and i found this very uncomfortable. try lowering the seat first using the lever on the side of the seat.

I'm 6'5" and just as everyone says - put the handle adjustment thingy down to lowest setting and then seat right back. No problems...

Yep, 6'3" and 20+ stone, I have no problem getting comfy in my VRs.

If I had an eye that big I would have to see a doctor:D

May as well join in... I'm 6'8" and no problems at all. Actually remember sitting in the Octavia and thought there was slightly more room in the Fabia - maybe I didn't have the seats at equal settings?

You can also adjust the position of the steering wheel (not just up and down but in and out (away and towards you) as well). I found bringing it as close to me as I could also helped.

Bloody hell Briskoda has some tall members!

I'm 5'11" and no problems, but I'm only 12 stone

we do seem to have alot big lads in here  im 5ft 10 and 12 half stone and me has the seat cranked all the way down and about a ft of headroom above me

   Misquote engine hasn't been fired for a while. ;)

it's like land of the giants in here :)

i'm only 5'6" and have the seat at it's lowest but obviously closer to the wheel. ;)

I'm 7ft 2'', and had to have help from the dealer to get comfortable.

Blimey - you're all big buggers aren't you:eek:

8' ft and no probs here either, just adjust the seat:thumbup:

Don't forget the steering wheel adjust as well.

I'm 6`2" and I fit in it perfectly with the seat almost all the way back and the height adjustment all the way down.

I then adjust the steering wheel height so that it clears my thighs properly.

I'm a pretty hefty fella too ;)

yep 6ft3,1500 miles to spain in 28 hours no problems.i could have worn a hat in the drivers seat, the passenger seat is a bit high though, so i left the hat at home.
