Hmm what is this?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, small query.......I have a 2011 Superb 2 elegance what is the small electrical button for on the drivers B pillar 3/4 way down below the seat belt. Have looked in the manual but no joy.

Button just has 'off' on it and its red. Any ideas please. Thx.

It de-activates the alarm for when e.g. you leave dog or someone in the car. It is in the handbook somewhere

Specifically it deactivates the interior motion sensor for the alarm system. It leaves the perimeter function of the alarm alone.

IE handy for when you leave the sunroof/windows slightly open in summer, one thing to add, yes it just is an "off" button, press before closing driver's door and locking the car. This function is reset when the car is next unlocked.

I just knew someone would know :) thx for the replies.

We use this all the time when leaving kids or dog in the car for a couple of minutes (running into the store). BTW, does anyone else find the alarm volume very quiet?

It also deactivates the tilt sensor so that the vehicle may be loaded onto a tow truck.

Great spot never noticed the button my three dogs will be much happier not having to wear ear defenders when we leave them any more.

This is handy to know, never spotted this one ☺

Also very useful for those of us with aux heater :|

Handy for use on car ferries too.
