Featured Replies

Just to let everyone know, I am back. A 586 mile round trip in one day.

What a fun day, even if the wind was a bit cold. I took some pics and I'll post them in another thread.

Hi Ian.

Fair old trip for you that then.

I was one of the drivers in the black BM, trying to learn the black art of RWD, untill we broke it. Been to anglesey a couple of times in the Octy as have some of the others. We all seem to like it up there anyway, must be the sea air ;)

Good to see you Manny, you must wear a coat next time, you looked frozen a few times.

Was good to see Mike, I think you spoke to him Ian, his was the red Octy.

As it warms up I'm sure more people will venture out ;)

I had a great day... Shiftys furby ARB + tracktyre equipped was proving quite a tool for upsetting the integra boys and that mental 205 driver... VERY sideways!

the BMW was putting in some impressive laps too even on road tyres.. no doubt itll be fettled with whilst its off the road and shall return better and faster

bring on the summer! :D

its not broken.... just the newness wearing off

big hammer and some tlc will fix the oil cooler... and im sure i will find a nut to secure a wayward damper.... can heartly recommend KU31 as a great road tyre that will take some hammer on track... but im still trying to work out if i can get my 245/35/18s on the E30.......

Sounds like you had fun.

Is one out playing tomorrow, as I am in Manchester again.

Now can we arrange one for the first week in July, I'll be in in Wales that week, what rubber was Shiffty running.

Only just seen this thread... if I'd spotted it earlier, Sarah and I might well have popped up with the camera!!

hey chaps,

sorry i didnt come over and intoduce myself properly.

shame i didnt get to have a proper play against any of ur skodas on the track,

hehe! didn't look too healthy from where I was stood! :D

I had a good day, other than feeling slightly queasy before lunch! (thanks dave! ) I didn't dare go on the track until the afternoon, and I was pretty scared! I got a little bit better after a few laps, but I think I need alot more practice!!

Thanks to Col, John and Nicola for standing and supporting me from the sidelines (even though I didn't see you!) and for taking pics of me! and obviously thanks for taking me dave! :smrbow:

They are the only pics that one bloke took. There will be loads appearing in the next few days, ill point you in the right direction Loz.

yeah I did wonder that, I just didn't see any more that was all! :D

why did he only take 5 pics though?? lol!

I had a good day, too (not counting the little visit to the infield at School :o ). Strange, at the driver briefing they said they didn't like using the blue flag - so why did I see it so often (especially from the marshal at Douglas)?

so is there a site where we can get the pics that they took of our cars,

thanks for the kind words about the S3 chaps il be at most of the anglesey track days this year with her. love the pic of the vrs behind me

Not tried them in the wet then yet?

plenty of times on the octy... they are fine... till you hit large pools of standing water... even then they seemed no worse than t1-s....

agreed!! If no one had asked about the blue flag then some people may not have known what it was for! as it happens Dave had already told me what the flags meant! and I did get a blue flag a couple of times at Douglas on my first few laps as I've never done anything like that before so I was scared and going slower than the rest!

i think that particular marshall was just bored and liked waving it! because there was nothing I could do about it by the time he waved as I was at a corner!!! fool!!
