Does the built in satnav show a GPS speed?

I have used my sat nav in my Kia regularly and rely on the more accurate speed which it shows compared to the speedo.

 

Does the Superb have a Satnav based speed calculation from the Columbus or does it only have the speedo based readout?

No Columbus based speed readout that I'm aware of.

Does anyone know for certain if the speed displayed in the Maxidot screen is from the GPS (i.e. accurate) or the car (which always tend to overstate). It seems a poor show for Skoda/VW not to make the GPS speed available.
