sequential flashing led indicators

Featured Replies

coming home today passed a 65 plate audi think it was an a4 and it was actually indicating . the stranger bit was that the led's were flashing sequentially from grill to wing .

is this a standard feature or has it been coded via vcds

Seen on a few Audi's including s8... dunno if standard though

Yes I think it's standard the amount of Audis I've seen do it.

S Line upwards I think. Probably need to be combined with Xenon or LED lights too.

Do look good, anything to help Audi drivers indicate is a good thing.

Wonder what happens when the hazards are on?

perhaps we could post on an audi forum and ask somebody to try the hazards out .

obviously once a short tutorial has been prepared by somebody on here for them to follow  :x  :p

Class   :giggle:

The features i really wonder about with Audi is the Light Failure warnings.

As the systems get fancier there are more and more new, near new or even cars out as Demonstrators with faulty lights front or rear.

Maybe time that people buying or leasing cars thought about how often they might need to attend main dealers to get things fixed,

especially Audi drivers.

Maybe all should call Audi assist and request they come out on a mobile repair basis if Audi Quality control is going to be so poor.

Kinda Funny that the Audi (and bwm) drivers seems to be the same around Europe :p

Sweeping indicators came out last year on the new 2015 TT. It was on the demo they had when I took it out in May 2015.

Been added to other models since but believe the TT was the first along with the new dash which is a screen with the clocks etc being images on the navigation screen.

The Ford Mondeo has these too. I've only seen one with it, and I'm guessing it's the Vignale version.

DAF XFs have them, too; y'know, so you might actually see them get used occasionally. :giggle:

You'd think they'd spend some of the design budget on getting rid of those stupid stuck-on iPads and designing a dash with them built in.

Love 'em!

Here on the Mondeo...

And the Audi A8...

The problem is when you get cheap Chinese aftermarket attempts. This is a prime example of how not to do it...

Just seen a TV ad for the new Pug 308 and that showed it as having sweeping indicators.

Seen a few Audis and Fords with them..... I always think they look like they are actually winking. :)

Well that's obvious, it's got an Audi driver in it.

Sorry, just noticed you put 'winking'.

Theyve been on the A7 since last yr, if not end of 2014. Ive seen a couple of them the last 18months at least. Im not really a fan tbh... they look alright but equally a bit pointless as the 1st couple of times i was behind one that started indicatimg i realised i wasnt reacting to the potential change in direction/braking, just focussed momentrily on the fact that the indicators were "moving" and that it seemed stupid...

I've noticed these on a few Audis too. I haven't seen any Mondeos with this feature, but then I assume noone has actually purchased a Vignale. It seems both cool and vulgar at the same time.

Typical Ford only doing half a job...they forgot to do the rears?

Seen them on a daf recycling truck a couple of weeks ago. Not too Audi exclusive then

On the Mondeo.....

Audi's do the same thing (one undertook me in a bus lane and than flashed his hazzard when he pulled in front of me. As you do...)

It's one of those features I kinda like on the previous Mustang, but when the entire light does it, I'm not convinced...

I'm certain that the US makers had this in the early 70's.......

And they were as naff as those on the Scirocco.
