Buying Advice Fabia 1.2 TSI 2014 s/h

Featured Replies

Hi All

Apologies if this is old territory.

After checking S/H car market in the UK I have decided that a Fabia 2014 TSI 1.2 for £5k @50k mileage would be the best value car for a small run around with boot space. We plan to cover roughly 5k miles a year with this model.

My question is, when coming to buy this car S/H, is there anything obvious to look out for that could indicate an issue?

So far 2 we have looked at had the oil light still on after ignition and we have suspected this might* be due to excessive oil consumption in the TSI.

If there are any gotchas out there or links to guides anyone could provide we would love to here that!\

Many Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

Worth an ask in the Fabia MK2 Section.

Lots of similar posts there asking similar.

Euro 5 1.2TSI do not commonly have Oil Consumption issues, that is the Mk2 Fabia vRS.

Did you dip the cars and see if the oil level was low and ask the seller why it was low?
