So I have had my 2012 vrs 6 months now and it's just passed it's mot...
Here is a few pics of the changes made.
The alloys were very kerbed when I got the car despite only having done 30k.
So I had them refurbed in anthracite and fitted updated centre badges.








I have had the grill painted the same colour as the car and fitted an updated badge.



The rear I debadged the octavia emblem fitted an updated centre badge and a superskoda diffuser. I had no mudflaps fitted so after a bit of research I bought the rounded front ones which were easy to get buy had to get rounded rears from Czech as I could find any here. Despite what I read they fit fine.







I have also fitted a Columbus and genuine Bluetooth kit,I was never happy with the phone reception or gps with the internal aerial so I bought the genuine roof aerial and it's perfect now.



The car is quite a high spec inside with carbon trim,dsg so has mfsw and the alcantara seats
I have enabled corner lights and coming home lights and the big mph in the maxi dot and also Footwell lighting.













Never having had a vag daily I have to say I'm very pleased and the few changes I have made have improved the car no end.

Only thing left to do is fit a reverse camera

Any thoughts appreciated.

had mine now for 1 year im also verry happy with it same interior as yours and i have also fitted mud flaps and pressed plates.how did u get the display up on dash to change things? not sure what i can and cannot have done to mine.

It requires vcds.

Luckily I have access to it.

I just put the part no. In eBay and they came up.

They all say that but as you can see they do.

Love the car, the colour coded grill looks smart and the wheel colour really suits the car. Gonna have to find them rear mudflaps tho!

no i had to fit them then enable in vcds the kit was about £20.

the holes for the lights are already in rear seats but i had to cut them in the front wells.

 

they come on full with the door open lights and you can choose the % in vcds that the light with headlights on.

I bought a ez lip splitter thing from amazon.

I was sceptical about these but having seen a few on vrs I thought I'd have a punt.

I have to say I'm very pleased and fitting was a doddle.

If you have a columbus reverse cam can be installed easily. And it will integrate with your ops system.

I got mine from here.

The dimensions are not exactly the same as the license plate lamps on the car, but use a slightly longer screw at an angle an it will fit in.

This is your only option without drilling any holes.

I also converted my regular f/l octy to a vrs one with a bumper upgrade. And the mk3 flatbottom steering installed.

If you have a columbus reverse cam can be installed easily. And it will integrate with your ops system.

Thats  a normal ccd camera. That wont fit into 26 pin behind the skoda columbus sys.

You need a rgb camera with a different wiring kit if you want your columbus to display the reverse camera image.
