Following some great help on two threads I posted, I have bought and fitted a full set of mudflaps and the controversial '230' decals.

 

I like the look and am happy with the stickers; for how long I'll keep them on is another matter

A genuine question; almost everyone obscures their number plate in photographs these days.

 

Why?

 

Even cars you see that have been involved in accidents and are on the back of tow trucks have bits of black sticky tape over the reg plate.

 

Is there something going on to which I'm blissfully oblivious?

Posting a photo on a public forum with your numberplate clearly visible has, some people say, lead to clones of their numberplate being made by nefarious surfers.

And that's different to someone doing the same after seeing your car parked at the side of the road, how exactly?! LOL

Surely if you are intent on cloning then a quick search of Autotrader with your spec car defined and "Show Photos" switched on will provide lots to choose from?

Ive not doctored it - my car came without numbers. 

 

It was a factory option
