Octy vRS mk1 vs mk2

Featured Replies

as a performace car they are both poop in my opinion.

the vrs is just a family hatchback with a spoiler.

id say if you were looking for a perfomance car you have gone very very wrong.

Certainly true for the diesel taking 8 seconds to get to 60 mph, a 320d eco does it in that.

7 seconds, to me is where it "starts" to get semi-interesting.

Also having had the 200 hp Mk2 petrol VRS at 140 mph on the speedo and it still pulling like a train, felt good to just about reach the stop at indicated 160 mph, it felt fairly performance to me.

But then to a £4.5K bike doing 0-60 in less than 4 seconds and 100 mph in less than 9 seconds all but supercars feel slow.

Be interested to see if Renault do put on sale the 275 hp Clio and how much it is, screwed up Euro and Yen exchange rate make the UK a tough market to sell in to now for nearly all car makers.

Gave up hoping for a body-kitted Fabia 3 RS as it does not seem to be where VAG see the Skoda brand.
