Featured Replies

Hi all is this an ok diy job ? I have done lots of work on my own cars over the years and am tempted but to be honest unit 18 gave a good quote and probably only saving 150 after taking into account the time and hassle, many of you done your own ?

Haven't done my own. Had a vag Indy do it. For £260 all in its one of those jobs ID rather let a decent garage carry out. That's not much help is it lol

Take it to Unit 18, Ali knows his onions and will give everything a good once over whilst it's there.

+1 for Ali at Unit 18.

Another +1 for Unit 18.

Come on, Tech1e- time to start a song "Unit 18 ,is the place to go ".

I wrote the song ;)

Hi Tech1e, is there a place in Worcester that you recommend for cam belt and water pump? Don't really want to use Skoda in Powick as I've had bad experiences with them.

Thanks

Unit 18 it is then, was looking at stage2 hybrid, inter cooler and clutch too but sooooooo expensive thinking of selling and getting 330d

Wait until you have to pay for a new clutch and DMF for the 330d if you think the Fab is expensive.

Would go for auto on 330, and fab was quoted 1100 for helix smf anyway !

Yeah, me lol ;)

Might take you up on that. But probably won't be for a few months if you are interested in a job.

Pop me a PM as and when. I have my own workshop in Powick.
