Just seen Simpsons Škoda advert on Facebook:

 

They claim to have 66 new high spec Superbs ‘in stock’, as they were one of the fleet suppliers for some of the brokers this is where they have ended up!

 

You may not be able to grab a bargain but if you cannot afford to wait for one to be built...

Or get the one you ordered for perhaps only a little bit more or may be less. You never know!

I could not find any reference to that on their Farcebook or web site. Which means it was quite obviously there but I did not have my three year grandson to show me.????

I can't find any reference to it either.

 

Maybe it meant they have Superbs in stock for '66' reg plate delivery for 1st September, not 66 vehicles in stock - without seeing the advert we we'll never know.

I did see that advert, it read that there was 75 great spec superbs in stock ready for a September 66 plate reg. Also mentioned something about beating the waiting list.

They talk about a stock list on that page. If anybody gets hold of that list it would be good to paste here for others.

For info I contacted them this morning stating that was the car I ordered which was abruptly cancelled at the end of May, just to see the response I offered £30k cash for it (originally paying £29,294.34) obviously got rejected....the best they could do was 9% discount (£34,375) with the free fuel offer reduced from £1000 to £500!

I didn't follow the cancellation thread, but wasn't it Skoda behind the cancellations leaving the dealers with spare cars?

 

You could say that, but the dealer's (or could it be the dealer in question!?) accepted the car brokers orders clearly knowing that they were not fleet sales so I cannot feel sorry for them I'm afraid, the only people I feel sorry for are those that lost their vehicles after waiting 3-months for them (in some cases) and I hasten to add that I'm not one of them as I cut my deal with my local dealer and was happy with the outcome. You could say that if it sounds too good there is a catch but there are people on this forum that ordered cars at brilliant discounts from car brokers and were supplied without any issues and good luck to them, they took a chance and were lucky, others were not.
