I put the box straight on to program 3 +3

The car seems to pick up alot quicker and doing 11s haha

What's the best setting to get the most out of the box?

Also I've had no lights on the dash

Does the box flash constantly when the car is running?

What's the estimated increase in power/torque with that programme?? And how smooth is power delivery?

Don't assume that program 3 is the best to deliver the most power, it doesn't work like that.

It's all about what feels best to you - the 3 different programs will deliver the power in different ways, and therefore make the car feel different to drive.

My suggestion is to try them all, find what you like and what feels the best, then start tinkering with +1 +2 etc.

Also, just because the car will run in +3 on program 3 without giving a warning light doesn't mean you can run the other programs at +3...you may still get a light up. As suggested, start at 0 and work your way up.

Yip. My 3 modes different to most. Map two on mine is the newest and greatest. Not all boxes go up in sequence.

Map 2 +2 for me, did have it on +3 for a few months then started getting lights on dash, sorted on +2

Anyone else have credible sources to confirm this rumour?

 

Far be it from me to suggest a VAG technician may be misinformed, mistaken or lying.

 

It's almost a physical impossibility that it can be detected, unless it's been turned up too high and thrown an error code up. Even then, if it's cleared then it's gone.

 

The error code in question is T23. I've no further info about it though.
