I *think* this will do it:

Controller 09 - Central Electronics

07 - Coding

Byte 16

Bit 1 enable

Bit 2 enable

That looks pretty cool! Cheers :)

Mine work like that from the factory, tried it once after reading about it in the manual and happened once for real. Your initial speed must be at least 60 km/h and you need to brake real hard. Is it really a feature that is not enabled in all markets?

This is standard on UK cars too.

I have a 9-month old Octavia, I have heard nothing about this ?????        KK

I'm pretty use it's been standard from launch, it's always been in the owners manual.

News to me, I'd have thought it would have been in the brochures K

Nah, it's just one of those standard feature on most cars these days, not really something the brag about, it's like having 4 wheels or doors.

I'll check the user manual

I found it, page 127 under 'brakes & parking' It's described as 'emergency' braking.Just one short paragraph

i've read it on the dutch forum, and they said it has to be activated, but no one will provide me the bits and bytes... i think for commercial reasons... not verry helpfull....

so i went for a drive braked real hard with the abs on.. no flashing lights... but i'm not sure if i was driving above 60 km/h will try that

In the Octavia MKIII Manual it's on page 192. I've just looked

In OBDELEVEN it's an app however on my MY2017 it's not supported so either assume it's enabled by default or as suggested - not available.

I cant find this. Can you copy the paragraph text?

The only reference I can find in the online manual is on page 113:

Emergency braking warning - If it is necessary to brake hard, the system may
cause the brake lights to automatically flash, to alert the traffic behind.

The on line Manuals must be different. The one I've downloaded shows it on Page 192. PetrolDave says it's on page 113

The one I have Downloaded is dated 11/2016

The one I have downloaded is dated 05/2016, looks like it's worth me downloading the newer version.

Might be an Idea Dave, on page 113 on the newer Manual it talks about the Navigation system
