Quartz Grey v Jungle Green

Featured Replies

Just about to place an order for a new Yeti but SWMBO can't decide between Jungle Green and Quartz Grey. problem is we have seen Yeti's in Jungle Green but can't find one to see in Quartz Grey. Question really is whether Quartz Grey is, well, just dark Grey or does it have a coloured green/blue hue to it? Images seem to be variable and computer screens are not perfect either.

Welcome anyones input on this.

SWMBO has a Jungle Green L&K Yeti (with brown leather) and IMO it really suits the car, when I ordered my MKIII Superb I considered Quartz Grey, I eventually found a used Octavia in that colour and there is indeed a green tint to it in the sunlight, however there were a couple of stone chips on the car and water had got under the lacquer slightly, being such a dark colour this REALLY showed them up, so I opted for Business Grey instead.

On a Yeti Quartz Grey does look good, but I’m still glad with our choice of colour, the Jungle Green also hides the road dirt very well.

Both good colours, I think I would go Green, you have seen more of them, where as I like the quartz Grey but more common on VW's and reminds me of Tiguans,

Ours is quartz grey, chose it over white, black, blue and green. It is very smart imho, also seems to take on a tinge of surrounding colours ie bluish in clear blue sky sunny days and greenish near large grassy areas or under trees. Makes it difficult to photo and post on the computer.

Metallic greys are nice but I think suit big executive saloons and estates better.

I had an A6 estate in Dakota Grey and it looked superb.

Jungle Green is a unusual colour but so is the Yeti so they go well together!

Not many cars could carry off Jungle Green but the Yeti does.

Go for something different, go for Jungle Green.

You mentioned in your other thread you'd gone for the Gobi sand leather. I think the Jungle Green would go well with it.

After two years with mine, it's still my favourite colour. It's nice to have a choice.

Jungle Green and Gobi sand.........nice!

The L&K ive ordered on lease is Quartz Grey. I was deciding between Quartz Grey, Jungle Green and Business Grey.

Still dont know if i made the right choice as im yet to pick up the vehicle but i have seen some Quartz Grey yetis out on the roads and they do look great. I decided against jungle green because it reminded me of my mums old snot green freelander which was dreadful. Also the paint on that car aged terribly and faded into a sort of matte green within a couple of years. The grey should age better and does look quite executive with the silver alloys, mirrors and roof bars on the L&K.

Ill let you know what my Quartz Grey looks like when i get it on the 31st of this month.

Colour choice is really a very personal choice, not sure I could cope with Jungle Green all the same! The car that I test drove back in October before ordering my new Yeti L & K was in Quartz Grey, literally brand new, ten miles on the clock, whilst the car drove perfectly well, can't say that I personally liked that particular shade of grey and in the end narrowed it down to Moon White or Business Grey before opting for Business Grey, which I think should look good with the silver wing mirrors on that model. I still think it is a shame how limited the colour range is for the Yeti, even though it is in its twilight years so to speak, a few brighter colours would have livened up the range a bit and a good metallic red shade would have been my preferred colour choice if there had been one that is or some sort of bronze or copper shade would also have been more interesting.

My neighbour has a quartz grey Yeti 1.2TSi SEL.  I think it looks stunning.

Just ordered a Superb in the same colour.

Yeti is great in any colour.

What colour interior? I was wondering if the Gobi sand interior would tone well with the Quartz grey exterior?

Neighbour has gone for dark (black) interior, looks very good.

I can take some pictures for next weekend if that helps?

My yeti Monte Carlo is quartz grey and it really suits it. Since Skoda did away with the black roof, I thought the rest of the colours would look odd and think the grey makes the car look slightly smaller than it actually is.

Jungle green and Gobi sand interior we've had ours just over two years now still loving it.

Jungle green doesn't show the dirt very readily.

Car had full Autoglym life shine inside and out on delivery easy to wash slightly damped cloth wipes any stains off seats.

Best car yet and we've had a fair few between us.

Enjoy whatever you get.

Interior pics from outside the vehicle would be nice

Hope this helps interior colour appears lighter on my Acer pad.

Ignore previous correct numbers 384 375 in Yeti gallery.

A senior moment apologies.

Went to local dealers this morning to see Quartz Grey and Jungle Green 'in the flesh'. No Yeti's in either but my wife's reaction to Jungle Green was "that's Khaki"!

Quartz grey is a very interesting colour with hints of blue/green not the flat grey I thought.

We are hoping to see some Yet's tomorrow in Quartz and Jungle Green but at the moment Quartz Grey is in the lead!

You do really need to see the colours on Yeti's, whilst I love the Jungle Green on a Yeti, personally I don't think it suits the other models.

I love my Jungle Green , but I'd be just as happy with Quartz Grey . The main thing for me is that it's a YETI  :sun:

Deciding on a car colour in a showroom is not advisable. The colours change so much with variable lighting conditions that you need to see them in as many different environments as possible. I've had Muscovado, Jungle Green and currently Cappucino and they all change colour!

Having said that I've been happy with all my colour choices.

We have the metallic Petrol blue and love it - My profile pic was taken in the showroom and shows how the colour changes with the angles and light - Outside on a drab grey day it can be almost black, on a nice sunny day it is a greeny blue. Love it!

Quartz grey was my choice , looks great with the silver mirror casings and front and rear underpanels ( if that's what you call them).

Just needs a good wash now and then to keep things looking good. after a year's use still looking like new

Jungle Green is on the front of the November 2016 brochure.

Yes its an easy colour to keep clean to.

Wife says she wants Black for her next new Yeti.  :|  I'm still undecided. As I'm the one who normally cleans it anyway.

Anyone out there with a Black Yeti.....speak up.   :coffee:

Personally I would go for another Jungle Green. SWMBO says no.
