Now a proud owner of a vRS TDI estate.

Featured Replies

Collected a 2014 Candy White vRS TDI estate tonight.

It has the Black Design pack & park assist fitted as extras.

Still getting used to it, as I've gone from a petrol with auto gearbox to a diesel with a manual gearbox.

Very pleased with it so far!

Pics don't seem to be working for me  :p

(Glad you're liking it)

If you've come from the Saab in your sig, I'm guessing you will be missing the poke, traction and soundtrack, but enjoying ever so slightly more mpg? :p

Yes, I am missing those things. An absolutely cracking motor, but very thirsty and not at all kind on the wallet when it came round to renew the road tax!

Another thing that I am missing is the floor mats from the vRS!

I did mention this at the dealer when I picked the car up, and they were looking into it.

The dealer is not a Skoda dealer. However, If they cannot find the mats, I will asking for new ones.

So, how much are the vRS mats from a dealer?

Genuine octavia carpet mats are about £25 on ebay. Rubber mats about £40.

Are the vRS ones any different to the standard Octavia ones?

I think depending what colour the stiching is on the seats/steering wheel determines what colour the stiching is in the Mats,

Red stiching on the seats, red on the Mats and the same with Silver Stiching,

The shape and fitting of the mats should be the same as a non Vrs

Thanks. Mine has silver stitching.

Was unsure whether they had the vRS logo anywhere.

I know previous generations of the vRS have had the logo.

My 230 mats don't have a logo on, the Vrs Logo is now on the sill protectors, ordinary Octavia mats have * Octavia * on I think

Got mats on delivery and they don't have vRS - only silver stitching to match the rest of the internal stitching. Glad your enjoying it and bet the Saab was a great drive - my parents had a 900 Talledega (chipped) and a 9-5 HOT Aero estate (250hp). Brilliant cars.

Yes, the Saab was a surprising beast! Had it remapped to 310bhp & 490Nm and being 4WD, it could put all of that down on the tarmac without any drama.

Sadly, it had to go.

Anyway, the Octavia has taken its place & I'm not regretting it.

Enjoy. I went auto box with my VRS diesel and whilst it took me a while to get familiar I am now very comfortable and really enjoying her.

I would have liked the DSG box, this one was at a price I couldn't ignore.

Look like ebay specials to me.

Same Octy here. Do about 30k a year as I'm self employed. Does everything I want it to, performance, good economy and so practical. Great bang for your bucks so to speak..

Do they fit? Look like Mk2 mats and not the same shape as my Mk3 mats.

I did a trial fit & surprisingly they do fit.

Proper genuine vRS floor mats with the silver stitching ordered from Skoda dealer this time.

Not cheap @ £80 for a full set!

Off-topic but I also came to Skoda from Saab ;)

I had a 9-3 Aero 2.8v6, also remapped with a JZW Stage 1 - that thing was brutal, but as already said, thirsty.

I intend to remap the Skoda this spring, with a APR stage 1 tune ;)

Wow, that's pricey! Do you have the part number? Mine are starting to look a bit worn.

They have to ordered individually, so there are 4 part numbers.

Should have these on Friday, so I'll let you know the part numbers.

JZW maps are really good.

The Turbo X was something else! Still loving the Octavia though. Remap is on the list of things to do! ;)
