Evans halshaw warranty

I purchased my 2011 octavia vrs fl 2.0 TSI  (64,000 miles) from my local Evans Halshaw in March 2016. Having just had a land rover, I decided to go for the service plan and warranty. When I got home and read through the list of what's not covered I wondered if I'd just thrown money away! I had 9 months of trouble free driving until, just before Christmas, I finished a 100 mile motorway journey and the car went into limp mode and the engine management light came on. I called the number for my recovery plan and the AA came out, couldn't diagnose the fault and so escorted me to EH where I left the car. After Christmas, I got a call to say that piston rings had cracked poss due to a faulty injector and had damaged the engine. Now really bricking it, I asked them to keep in contact about prices for a reconditioned engine and was told not to worry too much. Anyway... I have just received my car back with a brand new factory engine, injectors and turbo all 100% covered by the warranty. This has not cost me a penny, they've even washed the car and found £2.50 under my seat. After reading all of the horror stories online about warranties not being worth the paper they're printed on, I felt I had to post this somewhere to say that, sometimes, they're worth their weight in gold!

Every time I've dealt with them it's been painless :) I have to add I do not work for evans halshaw haha! Just think people are more likely to leave a bad review than a good one and wanted to sing their praises.

Yes we are conditioned to see good news as RUBBISH!   Or is that FAKE news in the Donald speak?

Personally I've not really had anything bad to me wrt A-C, they seem to have resolved an issue with daughter's Ibiza that my "better, real" SEAT dealer just did not bother to consider - even when prompted by me!  It was a different story when daughter bought her first SEAT Ibiza from A-C though - proper "A-C" treatment that time and for some time later!
