HID coding, BUT, using OBDeleven app!

Featured Replies

Hi all, so I'm trying to code my HIDs with OBD eleven rather than VCDS. I have access to a friends VCDS but want to try this the app first.

So, I've found from other searches that I should change in module 9, byte 3 bit 4 to enabled and byte 19 bit 3 to disabled.

So looking through the app when connected, I get the below screenshots:

Does this look about right? Any other bytes I need to change at all?

Cheers!

Just to point out, this is a 2009 (so late) pre FL with projectors.

Does obdeleven give the part number for module 09?

I'll find out!

I think it might, I'll find it after work and post it. In the meantime, I managed to find that byte 14 bit 4 might do something I need too. Is that right?

It will depend on what module it is.

Cheers mike, good idea! I fitted them 2 days ago, so may take them out now! Is there any way of telling what kind of module I have if I find the module part number?

Sod it, I'll take them out! Anyone fancy buying some nearly new London colour non canbus 5000k xenon's?

Serious offer!

I like the sound of your setup. Got any pics?

Nothing to see mate,  everything inside the headlight units.  Only thing outside is a resistor bonded to the metal bodyshell close to the headlight,  and a cable going between headlight and battery.  Wiring diagram and everything you need to know for the installation in the linked thread I started. .

Only regret I have is not taking the plunge and doing it earlier.

Nice one. I'll give it a go! What type of connectors did you use on the battery?
