Been reading this thread yesterday just about to start doing my mk2 fabia vrs in green/black... Just ordered the smoked lights to start the car off.. Want to get front bumper splitter... Coilovers... And sportier sounding exhaust.. New badges for front and back... And finally a remap but debating whether to get a tuning box/chipped or remap?...... Thoughts

Nice mate , make sure to open a threat here on the projects sections about your car .

Did u order red smoked or black smoked?

Maxton front splitters are okay to do yourself . Just remove the bumper before trying to fit it. And get yourself some more bolts nuts washers etc to make sure its tight on .

New logos are not expensive . Only in the front i broke the white clips to remove the surrounding plastics.

And for the coils im going for H&R lowering springs 25.30mm

My car has a miltekk cat and center delete . Miltekk stuff is quite pricy ..

Just do a center box delete . And map ure car stage 1. Then later when u can always add the milltek catback and map is stage 2 .

Did the big service today . Oh boy . Ive been trough some **** on this car..

1 sparkplugs where torqued to 1million pounds..

2oil def. Needed a change..

3 fuel filter is apparantly bend

4 oilfilter torqued to 1million also .. had to buy a filterkey and even then i still pulled the beak into the filter housing ..

Had to punch holes into it with a screwdriver . Only then i could get it loose.

The good news my engine is now in tiptop condition .

No headgasket leaks . No mayonaisse on the oilcap or white oil.

No metal flakes to the drainplug

And the sparkplugs where okay .

So now its def. Okay .

I did put to much oil in tought

The manual says 3.6liters

Ive put in 4.5... hope its not that bad that i put in a little to much..

Check that oil cold on the flat, and it needs to be above the cross hatch a bit top of the flat bit is OK.

I put in 4 litres, and some techs have been putting in 3.9 or 4 litres for a few years now.

4.5 litres is too much.

So today i tackeled the rims that cale with the car ..

Besides the O.Z superturismo GT's

Ive also had 2 VRs OEM gigaro black on continental sport contact 3

And 4 monte carlo rims

2 with continental sport contact 3

2 without the tire..

1 of those 2 had a crack inside ..

So whats the deal here .

Getting the rubber of the monte carlo rims because they are still very good shape

And the vrs gigaros ar mint (2×)

So i need to buy another 2 new ones . And then replace the tire of the monte rims on the vrs ones..

So im left with 4 monte rims witch are curbed bad, tar'D bad , paint scuffs...

Ime going to weld the cracked one . And repaint them. And sell them on.

Ooh and i removed like thousand weights...

The 2 vrs gigaros need just a little polishing..
