Can I fit Mk7 Golf GTI Wheels on MK3 VRS

Featured Replies

Hi

Really like the 2016/17 GTI wheels, I was thinking these would be compatible but when I put in my car details on the site shop, it tells me its a no go. Is this the case?

cheers

I don't see why you could not. VAG MQB are always 5*112, and same ET for all Leon / golf / A3 / octavia

17*7 inch ET 49

17-18*7,5 inch ET 51

They absolutely will fit. Don't forget to post pictures. :)

That what I was thinking, heres the spec

All Round - 19 x 8.5 ET45, Center Bore - 57.1, PCD - 5x112

but I get this when I put my car in.

This item does not fit Skoda Octavia 2016 5E3 [2012-2017] Hatchback.

??

Strange.

Ahh, I didn't cop that they were 8.5 width - are you sure? Are they OEM or replicas?  I thought they would be 19x7.5J as per Extremes. Still, there are folk on here running 19x8.5's, although maybe not with an ET of 45...

According to the link above, the rim will be 12.7mm (half an inch) closer to the strut, which may or may not be feasible, and 12.7mm further out towards the arches (poke), which will be fine. Spacers may help with clearance, but will probably end up pushing the outside too far out.

By the way, I've used a 235/35/19 tyre on the example above, the OEM spec is 225/35/19 but that's for a 7.5J width rim.

Cheers! I think they are replicas (on ebay) will have a look for some OEM, see if they are 7.5

Yeah OEM spec below and price is 2k :o with tyres whereas the reps were £500

8.5x19 ET 45 is a perfect fit  (225/35-19 or 235/35-19 I know for sure will work as we have those setups in my family)

7.5 x 19 ET 51 will hide in the fenders and need spacers too look great IMHO

I think the reason it says it won't fit is that the seller has specified which cars, as the Octavia isn't on the list it'll come up with a warning

Agreed. I use 20mm spacers on the rear with my Extremes, and 15mm on the front.
