My superb - Skoda Superb :-)

Featured Replies

Hello,

Hopefully I'm posting in the right section... apologies if I'm not.

I bought my Skoda Superb in May 2016, but I didn't get the guts to post anything until now. I moved from an Audi A6 2009 version with 2.0 TDI - 170 HP. My new (still new, less than one year old) Skoda Superb has a 2.0 TDI and 150 HP. I didn't like the fact that I needed to fill up the 2nd reservoir with some solution on the 190 HP version, but there's no indicator on the volume of liquid existing... and the car is not working without it.

Anyway, getting back to the options:

Model: L&K hatchback 2.0 TDI DSG

Extras:

- panoramic sun roof

- rearback release from the trunk

- isofix front passager

- smart light assist

- sign recognition

At the moment of writing these lines, I have almost 6,500 miles done with it. The only thing that I miss from my old Audi, are 2 actually:

- I had sport car seats in front which were insane, compared with the Skoda Superb ones

- DSG vs Multitronic. While there's no doubt that DSG is super fast, Multitronic from Audi was insane. There was no actual gear shift... I was running in the "1st" gear from 0 mph to 200 mph. You couldn't hear or feel when the gears were changed... it was that good.

Ohh well, I'll try to post each couple of weeks the road trips that I took with my superb Skoda Superb.

Longest road until now was a vacation in France, about 1,000 miles round trip. Call me crazy if you wish, but I don't trust the "lane assist" or how it's called to keep the car on track on the highway... especially when I have a kid in the car. I do trust the auto-pilot to break if there's a car in front that's breaking... even if I believe that my foot is breaking more comfortable.

I'll be back in a few week, thanks for reading.
