Near Side Mirror Reversing Position

Featured Replies

Hi,

Please go easy on me. I'm officially a newbie - new to car and to the brand. I've had the car 24 hours, love it. STACKS of questions. I'm reading all sorts of threads and finding useful information. There are a few I can't fathom out, but it's early days, so I'll be putting up the odd thread.

NB car has three keys - something about it remembering settings for much of this stuff. It is not KESSY enabled.

This particular thread is about the mirror on the passenger side - lovely little feature of lowering it when in reverse for parking. It doesn't seem to go back up again when I put it back in 1st gear...? I've read the manual a few times and followed the instructions. Can't seem to get it to behave in a repeatedly "great it's doing as I expected" manner. Perhaps I just need to be a little more methodical in my testing.

I'm quite looking forward to the "D'OH" moments. "Jim, you're bloody doing it wrong" is ok, as opposed to the "it's broken, take it back" suggestions... ;-)

Thanks everyone.

Jim.

I might be wrong but I think it's like some of the other features (reversing camera for example) where you have to be moving forward at a certain speed before it will go back to the normal position.

Same as Superb II.

It will lift if you drive forward a we each around 8mph..

Or you can just turn the mirror adjustor to R and it will lift.

Returns to normal when the doors auto lock. Approx 10mph.

If you move the mirror button away from the " L " position it will go up straight away.
