Brand new sport over heating

Featured Replies

Hi brand new Octavia sport every single journey the fan fires up engine smells of burning  on one particular day fan was on so long I opened bonnet to find oil car wasn't even on and smashed components in engine bay. Called skoda they say it's normal for fan to run. Even if car  sat overnight and travel 20 ft, fan runs. Oil temp on dashboard reads between 89 to 107 I think that's high? Anyone help with is this normal? ?

Petrol or Diesel.

If Diesel have a read of this

Got any pictures?  Smashed bits and oil doesn't sound right!!

I read that as looked for the oil cap and it wasnt on. There are smashed bits under the bonnet in the engine bay.

Are the smashed bits the oil cap? If theres no oil cap then get onto the dealer to get one. Check your oil level also.

Is this smashing post for real?:dull:

If there was smashed bits in the engine bay, how on earth can Skoda say it`s normal??? :wondering:

Like this??
