Is it just me are the engines in the new model more noisier 

150 TDI is actually very refined in mine.  Possibly the smoothest diesel I've ever had; surprised in a nice way.

    Agreed.  Quiet too unless seriously pushed.

    2017 engine on idle wee bit rattle coming out off driver side front wheel

    So are you on about the engine noise from the engine bay/exterior or from the drivers seat/interior? 

    Definitely much quieter than the 170 TDI engines I had previously.  No getting away from the fact that it is a diesel though but you will have that issue on diesels costing twice as much.  Also curious if you are referring to internal or external noise though?
