2013 Skoda Yeti 1.4TFSI gearbox?

Featured Replies

I have a 2013 Yeti 1.4TFSI with a 6 speed manual gearbox.

It has only done approx 24K miles and we are the second owner.

Just after a main dealer major service, it has started to develop a crunch when going from first to second gear.

This does not occur when changing to second from any other gear.

Clutch feels fine.

The crunch can be avoided by a deliberately slow gear-change

It is otherwise perfect, no issues or problems (love it!). Dealer serviced from new.

.

I'd appreciate any advice on

1. what the problem is likely to be

2. Is this a common issue that I can tackle the dealer about? (pointless asking Skoda!)

.

Thank-you

David

I've always found 1 > 2 when the gearbox oil is cold, is the most problematic.

If the oil is hot, and the clutch is clearing fully, then the synchros my have been abused.
