Probably down to the raw DNA content, absolutely revolting.

Got to get a second key immobilizer coded and also get someone with VCDS to alter the central locking to unlock all doors together as its driving me mad having to press the button repeatedly 

Try local locksmiths ( for key). Timpson do do it, but I'd suspect it's almost as dear as a main dealer at circa £100 .
