Oily Smell in car SKODA YETI 1.2 TSI

Featured Replies

Well then its gone MIA, on our Octavia it crunched that hard plastic breaking sound and virtually stalled the engine on restart (I had just pushed the new valve in fully without thinking), I thought bast......

But since then, everything is fine, no apparent lasting damage and done about 30k so far. Hopefully washed down into the sump.

Good luck, hope its OK

My grommet was split, £1.62 for a new one.

Same problem. Mind telling me where you got it from? Found one online but postage is around £10!

It was £8.99 with free postage but arrived within a day or so and identical to the broken one. Been on the car a couple of months and works fine.

Cheers. I need one of those too but it's the grommet I'm after.

Just had mine replaced on my 63 reg Roomster. The independent dealer removed the plastic cover above which feeds the turbo to gain proper access to the valve.

CRISIS!

The broken of piece is not in the rubber gromet, so I guess it must have gone into the engine 😩

Am I f**ked now? Can I just plug in a new one and live happily ever after?
