Huck, Above each posters name, should bea grey on dark blue reference...might move it if not crystal clear...

Hmm..

I've just noticed it's black on dark grey on the office browser (see attached).

IIRC it looked OK at home, though.

  • I can see the little arrow (Windows version of Mozilla 1.5: highly recommended if you haven't tried Netscape and its relatives lately). (Update: the little arrow isn't visible in Netscape 4.79. This

  • I think the new look lacks the small forum feel of the last one. It made Briskoda stand out from all the other forums. In short it doesn't feel as friendly. Still onwards and upwards etc. Steve

  • Does seem slightly slower to me, lastnight especially slow. I can see 2 possibilities, 1) Last night there were a lot of guests online, these were all for the most part googlebots indexing the site.

*resists temptation to start tweaking styles from work*

Will have a look-see later :)

Another thing I've noticed has disappeared (I think) is the ability to compress previously read posts. This, coupled with the board's inability to remember which posts I've just read in the same session, means a lot of scrolling now that all posts are expanded to their full size. Is it, or can it, be reinstated?

PS another thing is that although I've changed my default view to Threaded in Control Panel, all threads still come up in Linear mode to start with - may be related?

Will check against known issues tonight, re expand/collapse, yes as per other posts, things will comeback slowly...although I do recall that not going down to well when first added :D

As to not knowing which posts you have read, seems to be okay here, I suspect a cookie issue, logout, close, delete. There is a timeout of 900 seconds set presently, which is also effecting login's/dodgy cookies. More later, food on plate work first :D

Just checked, mode change taken and presented. anybody else with this problem please let me know. :D

All looking good now apart from the size of the buttons to the left of each post. I am running 1280 x 1024 on a reasonably sharp (0.25dpi) 19" screen and am struggling to see what the buttons are indicating. Would a change of colour/contrast help if the button size can't easily be increased?

Has anyone else noticed that in the top bar we currently have:

2 links to "home" - one text, one button

2 links to "faq" - one text, one button

2 links to "calendar" (you guessed it)

You know it's getting better when the feedback gets so trivial !! :D

Whoopee! It's got its own button - well done (Stimps?). Now there's one more tiny thing - the one next to it is labelled "qoute" (sic). Once more to the editor .... :p

Good stuff guys
