Climatronic and front windows not working ?!?!

Featured Replies

Hi, strange thing happened today - lights on climatronic are "working", but blower is dead - or maybe on very faint speed 1.

Also partially lost front windows - can operate from driver's door switches but when using remote to open/close windows - only rear passengers windows are working ?!?!

Checked all fuses under the dash - all are fine.

Anyone have any suggestions? Convenience module is at fault?

TIA

Have you checked the relays as well?

Under the bonnet? No.

There's a relay panel under the dash too - you need to remove the small driver's side storage compartment to get at it.

Small update :)

Today, in the morning, when I tried to open windows from the remote - front passenger window opened together with rear windows ...

Then after short drive I've tried remote again - and ALL windows open and close ?!?!

Unfortunately blower still not working :(

Tomorrow when doing service I'll ask them to hook up VCDS.

Looks like possible water damage to the CCM - so ripping apart of the footwell :(

Could this be breaking wires in the drivers door flexible part?

Car is less then 3 years old and only 20223 miles ;)

I had from time to time a bit of water drops at the bonnet release handle - but, what is very strange - only after hailstorm - not during normal rain ?!?!?

I've got a similar problem so please let us know how you resolve it.

My blower appears to have failed with the climatronic lights showing it should be working. I have removed the motor and fan from housing and it would run perfectly in my hands.

Put back in car and the next day it stopped working again. I'm going to take a look at it this morning.

Also have no power to rear right fog lamp (bulb is fine). Annoyingly if it was the left rear that was faulty it could still pass its upcoming mot. Side light bulbs also have both just blown (which are horrible to remove).

I think I'm paranoid as I'm starting to think there's some deep seated electrical glitch.

(3-4 months ago I had to had ultra sonic alarm sensor replaced. Also the upgraded Bluetooth module was electrically damaged).

Mystery solved :)

Tried yesterday to lift the floor and get to convenience module but couldn't unhook the bonnet lever :( but I was able to insert one hand and it felt dry.

Went today to the garage, they removed glovebox to fully access blower - it turned out it was seized/jammed - few turns by hand and it is working again :) but they said next time - it'll need to be replaced.

About windows - when blower got stuck there was probably too high current draw and front windows reset.
