Sat Nav crashed.

Featured Replies

My Columbus sat nav crashed today. It just froze and won't budge. I've tried turning it off and back on again, and even sworn at it, but to no avail.

Has anyone else had this issue? My car is six weeks old, so I'm not too impressed at this.

Did you try rebooting it?

(keep the power button pressed until it turns off then back on)

Hold the left hand button in (volume one) until it reboots. Speakers will crackle whilst it does it then the logo will reappear.

Yes, I tried that (I had seen something about rebooting the Columbus).

Mine's the 9.2" Columbus with the touchscreen buttons.

Try a battery disconnect for 20 mins.  You will get loads of warnings on reconnect however a short drive will reset everything.

If it was mine and its only 6 weeks old then I'd be straight back to the dealer and make sure they provide a write up of the problem and fix in case of further issues in the future.

This morning, with nothing more than being turned off overnight, it worked perfectly.
