so I have connected it and something has gone wrong.  The car does not detect the door if it is open.  I don't know if it will be a fuse or the switchboard.  What can be?

and the lights don't work.

i'm not sure wat could b happening in ur situation.

is everything else working - rear window is going up & down?  rear door strip ambient light is working?

if not, then yes - check the fuse panel.  likely shorted somewhere.

everything works but does not detect the open door ...

I need urgent help! I have everything disassembled, where do I connect in my car?  does not match yours ...

Is yours an L&K with a rear door module? Your connector below the window motor looks the same as in the previously posted photo that shows the L&K as an example. It was suggested in that post that there’s a way to connect the light directly to the module and code it. This business of connecting it to other wires is for folk that don’t have that module.

That's a very good point @GregorSamsa

mine is not an L&K, hence has no rear door controller module.

Finally I managed to install those lights on my Superb and I can say it's a 'bright' mod, LOL.

BTW, I just managed to break the clip of the bowden cable in one of the doors. Once assemblied it unlocks the door from the inside but I fear it can fall appart. Any clue on how to repair it?

Por cierto, acabo de romper el clip del cable Bowden en una de las puertas. Una vez montado, abre la puerta desde dentro, pero me temo que puede desmoronarse. ¿Alguna pista de cómo repararlo?

I couldn't put them on. Instead of putting them on the edge of the door I followed the cable all the way down and the power "thieves" cut the cable. I spliced it as well as it can and now it gives me an error if I pass the obdeleven. I hope to do it one day.

For those who still plan to install door warning lights on their Superbs, I would like to provide further clarification. There are two installation options for door warning lights, depending on your vehicle's equipment. If you have the L&K version with a rear door controller module, which is the black module located here:

In this scenario, you can install door warning lights as OEM with programming. Here is a detailed guide: https://www.drive2.com/l/555886142042406917/

If the designated area in your car is unoccupied, it indicates the absence of a door controller module. In such a situation, the sole option is to draw power from existing wires. In this case, you should connect the positive wire to the door window motor connector. This connector features a thick red/white wire located in PIN2, as highlighted by @Alan_P and @przemoka.

The negative pin should be connected to the brown/yellow wire of the door lock connector. An intriguing aspect is the pin assignment. As initially indicated by @Alan_P and @przemoka, it should be connected to PIN2. However, @JR RS subsequently discovered that it's actually PIN5. Based on my recent experience, I can affirm that the key factor here is to identify the brown/yellow wire. In the case of the left-hand side door, it corresponded to PIN2, whereas on the right side, it was associated with PIN5 in my Superb. So, to avoid confusion, keep this in mind while proceeding with the retrofitting process. Here's an image of the door lock connector - make sure to locate the brown/yellow wire:

Edit: Removed till i work something out :)

Just to add further clarification, the rear door module variant is not specific to the L&K. If your car came with door ambient lighting or electronic child lock, then you will have the rear modules. So this could be SE, Sportline or L&K depending on factory spec :)

@ApertureSThanks you for adding this. In my case, I have ambient lighting but no rear module, so it does indeed seem to vary based on the specific car model.

Thats a good point and i can see that in your photos! Ive removed my comment till i work out the deciding factor!

HI, ok the lights on rear doors are beautifully detailed. Does anyone have a pinout of module for the front doors? I have a 2021 SS3 FL without warning lights, and I'd like to add them.
