Hi. After reading a load of threads on here that lead nowhere and without resolution, I thought I'd start a new post about this.

My Climatronic is sending me into melt down. Last night ambient air temp about 2 Degrees, Interior control set to 18 degrees. Driver side fine. Passenger side hot enough to cook a chicken. Has happened before intermittently. Only done a short drive today so not up to max temp so not sure if it is persistent. Searching on here it seems there are a number of posts reporting the same issues but none of them resolve the problem. Some posts I reported the same issue too. Surely  there must be some fix to this?

Where ans what are the sensors in the cabin that detect interior temperature? I believe there are a couple of sensors in the center vents under the dash-top box. Any idea how to test these? Resistance values? I guess these detect air temp being delivered but not cabin temp?

At a loss of what it can be?

Any input most appreciated

Check for error codes with VCDS?

You should also be able to monitor the values reported by various sensors and check the flaps are working too.

Hmmm.. Don't have VCDS but a mate 20 odd miles away does. Just a bit of a faff to drive that way to measure the values and it might not be happening at the time. Also, what values are correct? A number with no reference would be meaningless to me as I wouldn't know if it was high, low or correct?

Had the old free VagCom on an ancient laptop so have a cable somewhere. Would the free VCDS Lite or whatever give me any useful info? Perhaps I should be asking Father Christmas for VCDS?
