LED Headlights

Featured Replies

Anyone know what the expected service life of an LED headlight is?  Presumably a lot longer than an H7 bulb? Are they covered by the new car warranty?

Yes much longer - halogen bulbs don't last that long. Xenon was already better in this respect. Yes covered by the new car warranty.

When (or if) they do fail, outside of warranty, make-sure you're sat down when asking for a price to replace it!

Most manufactures guarantee LED's for at least 10,000 hours so unless there is a fault with them I very much doubt they will need changing for a good few years!

I currently have a 2010 Mk2 Vrs and that still has the original xenon bulbs in!!!

Seriously?? Do ever drive at night? :) In they might be, but brightness decreases by A LOT through the years - I am pretty sure that if you changed them now you would notice the difference.
