Mk3 TSI VRS DTUK BOX

Featured Replies

Hi All

I have had a dtuk box installed for about 2 weeks now on my MK3 vrs tsi and the difference in performance is night and day!

every gear picks up so much better and the power delivery is so much smoother.

Just wondering what setting you guys prefer? I have been running p3 +2 for a while now.

I have tried p1 + 3 but this seemed to cause juddering (maybe I hit the torque limiter?)

But overall really happy with the box it is an awesome product !

thanks ! :)

im on 2+1 havent been that adventurous.

haven't tried 2 +1 yet just took it for a drive on 3+3 and feels really good.

Is program 2 more linear or does it chuck all the torque at one go?

its a bit of a mystery...

Ok guys just so you know, not all tunningboxes have the same maps on the same P1,2,3 positions so, you should try all maps (without + or -) till you find the map you prefer by the seat of your arse dyno. Rolling roads are too expensive to go checking all 21 possible settings & remember not all cars can run maximum boost or +3

thankyou for the reply !

yeah I found that p1 +3 caused alot of juddering on mine turned it down to +2 and problem went away. I have found so far that p3+2 is working good for me. Feels quite linear for day to day driving

Just put a dtuk box on my vrs tdi   p1 is eco ,p2 sport, p3 sport+ I'm lead to believe .they all deliver the same performance but in differant powerbands and rev ranges.

As I said, the standard protocol doesn't always happen & sometimes maps are moved (with good reasons). DTUK can advise you but, if its a preloved box it may not be so simple.

Don't set the +'s too high on the TDI's during colder weather, they really don't like a lotta COLD boost, you can have fun winding them up in May when there is a bit more grip on the road
