Electric windows big problem.

Featured Replies

Hello everybody, I'm a skoda fabia 1.9 TDI 130HP VRS owner. Since 2 weeks i have a big problem with all my electric windows the 2 rear and the 2 front. When i push the windows button , nothing happened, all the button are like dead no response. When i switch on the light for the road, the button are green(that's said the button got the electric power). I try to open all the windows by turning the key into the front driver locker but nothing happened. I watch and verify all the fuse and there is nothing wrong. All the 4 command button and dead. The roof top window is working good.

Can you help me to find a solution with that problem?

Is there a relay?

Is it the confort box??

Thanks for your help

Check for broken wires inside the protective rubber boot of the driver's side door hinge area. Possibly a CAN wire; orange/green or orange/brown wires, for it to affect all windows.

If i understand well, if one wire is broken on the driver side, it can cause the shutdown of all the 4 windows, i repeat what i all ready said : i'm unable to put down every windows, from the general command or at any places of the car and pushing down the button corresponding at the window (rear left button , rear right button, left front button, right left button).

Thanks for your help i will check the wires.

Hello just to tell that i do what you say : checking for broken wires, but nothing, i try to unplug the wires from the side of the car(not the door), when i plug in the wires , miracle, it's work, every windows go down and up . I switch off the car and close it wirelessly. But when i switch on the car 40 minutes after, the windows won't work. An another problem (when using the key on the door locker, it's not openning all the door's but only driver's door. Have you got a solution to solve that.

Thanks.
